Toumai® FAQ
Toumai Endoscopic Surgical System (자동화 시스템 로봇 수술기)
Toumai is a next-generation medical robotic system that enhances the precision and safety of minimally invasive surgery. The surgeon intuitively controls the robot from a console, while the system filters out hand tremors, enabling stable and accurate manipulation of even delicate tissues.
No. The Toumai robotic surgical system is operated directly by the surgeon. Like conventional minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery, it enables complex procedures to be performed through small incisions.
While it is based on a structure similar to existing robotic surgical systems, it offers an enhanced surgical environment for the surgeon through expanded functionalities and supports more precise and stable procedures.

Toumai Key Features
The Toumai robotic surgical system can be used across multiple medical specialties.
In urology, it is applied to laparoscopic surgeries of the prostate, kidney, bladder, and adrenal gland. In gynecology, it is used for laparoscopic procedures such as uterine fibroids, uterine cancer, ovarian diseases, and uterine prolapse. In general surgery, it supports a wide range of laparoscopic procedures involving the gallbladder, colon, pancreas, liver, spleen, and stomach. In thoracic surgery, it is used for thoracoscopic procedures for lung and mediastinal tumors.
No. Surgery performed with the Toumai robotic surgical system enables highly precise and stable procedures through high-definition, magnified visualization. In addition, compared with open surgery, it requires smaller incisions, which helps reduce postoperative pain and allows for a faster recovery.
